how we're making a difference

The Hawai’i Community Foundation’s Grant Program provides a way for the G70 contributing employees to direct the making of the donation while the Hawai’i Community Foundation manages the daily aspects of the fund, Employee donors review the proposals, make selections, and celebrate with the awardees. The Grant process allows for a way for employees to participate in the selection of the grants, and through the process, learn about community activities.

Through education, mentorship and financial aid, we hope to transform the life of a high school graduate from a low-income neighborhood by partnering with the graduate through college graduation and into the architecture, engineering, planning or interior design work place.  By impacting one life, we hope to transform his/her family and community.
